We would like to welcome a new carer to the Home this month, Athul Kumar who is originally from South India (Kerela) but has recently been living in South Wales. We hope that he settles well with the rest of the staff and residents.
Happy Birthday
Resident Glenys Jones from Trawsfynydd celebrated her 90th birthday this month. Huge congratulations Glenys for reaching a special milestone. Glenys celebrated her birthday with all her family and friends here at Cartref Bryn yr Eglwys. A party was held for this special occasion. Many thanks to the chefs for providing a birthday cake. Glenys thoroughly enjoyed her day with everyone at Cartref Bryn yr Eglwys.
Holidays
Many of the staff enjoyed holidays this month. Our clinical nurse Gabi Sabadus enjoyed a break visiting family in Romania. It was lovely to see a photo of her niece's wedding. Nurse Kelsey Parry also enjoyed a week off in Greece celebrating her best friend's wedding! An unforgettable experience and a much-deserved break. Nurse Lesley McCann was also on a week's holiday - but unfortunately, Lesley ended up looking after her husband who suffered an injury to his leg. Caregiver Neethu Raj spent months in South India (Kerela) spending time with her family. Neethu was so looking forward to seeing her family and friends. It will be very nice for Neethu as she has earned a well-deserved rest.
Sympathy
We would like to offer our condolences to the family of the late Dorothy Evans. Dorothy was not with us at Bryn yr Eglwys for a long but she was a lovely lady and will be missed!
