Welcome
We would like to welcome Mr Stanley Davies from Bala and Mrs Lena Jones from Blaenau Ffestiniog. We hope you both settle in well amongst us all.
Sympathy
We would like to sympathise with the family of the late Mrs Edna Ogden, from Pentrefoelas. Edna was a lovely lady, and she will be missed dearly. We would also like to extend our deepest sympathy with the family and friends of the late Miss Jennifer Roberts from Blaenau Ffestiniog and Mr James Gordon Owen from Llanrwst. Although they were only with us a short period of time, they will both be missed.
Happy Birthday
All the staff and residents would like to wish Mr John Morris Edwards (Bala) a happy birthday this month. Many thanks to our cooks for preparing a birthday cake. We hope John enjoyed his special day in the company of his family and new Great Granddaughter.
Holiday
Many of our staff enjoyed time off during December. One of our Carers Nimmy Devasia enjoyed a few weeks back in Kerala in India visiting her family and friends. Averywell-deserved break for you Nimmy! Millicent Ankyeraah, another of our Carers enjoyed a week off to catch up with friends. Our Senior Carer, Elain Morris enjoyed time away with her partner at the Birmingham Christmas markets for her birthday. Nicola Ellis (carer) also enjoyed time off over the Christmas period.
Christmas activities
The residents enjoyed many activities over the festive season. Some of these activities included making Christmas cards. Karaoke, making our own Christmas decorations and many quizzes. All the residents seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to our Carer Mary Roberts for arranging all the Christmas recreation this year.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the choirs who came to entertain the residents over the festive season ( Llangwm Male Voice Choir and Rhuthun Male Voice Choir).
We also had the privilege of having some schools entertaining our residents including children from Ysbyty lfan and also Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy.
Get Well Soon
We would like to wish Gabi a speedy recovery after her unfortunate fall resulting with a fractured foot! We hope you are well rested and able to return soon.
