Happy Birthday

We would like to wish three of our residents a very happy birthday this month. Mr Keith Scott and Mrs Anwen Scott celebrated their birthday together this month. They were each provided with a birthday cake, many thanks to the chefs. We hope they enjoyed their special day with us all at Cartref Bryn yr Eglwys. We would also like to wish a happy birthday to Mr. Brain Brake from Blaenau Ffestiniog. Brian celebrated with his family.

Welcome

We would like to welcome a new resident to the Home this month. Mr. Alexander Oakley is a native of Rhyl. We hope that Alexander has settled well among us.

Easter Activities

The residents enjoyed different activities over the Easter period, including arts and crafts, creating Easter cards and bonnets. They also had fun with a quiz about Easter events. The residents enjoyed a lamb lunch on Sunday with roast potatoes, cream cheese and mixed vegetables. Following the dinner, the residents enjoyed chocolate pudding and Easter cake.

Holidays

Some of the staff enjoyed holidays this month. Senior carer Elain Morris was on holiday in Spain with her friends for a few days enjoying the sun and a few drinks at the beach! Carer Nicola Ellis enjoyed time off over the Easter holidays spending time with family and friends.

Our nurse manager enjoyed time off with her children, Morgan and Mali in Mauritius where they dived up to 26 meters. They then travelled to South Africa where they saw Nelson Mandela's cell on Robben Island! Nice to hear about the experiences, the residents are looking forward to seeing the photos and the history!

Sympathy

We would like to offer our condolences to the family of the late Mrs. Elsie Parry (Nebo). Elsie was a character and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed!
