Welcome: We would like to welcome two new residents to the Home, Mrs Sheila Wright (Dyffryn Ardudwy) and Mrs Brenda Jones (Cerrigydrudion). We hope that the two will settle down among us here at the Care Home.
Holidays: Our carer Neethu enjoyed a two-week holiday with her friends in London while Mark (Kendall) spent his holidays at home, busy rehearsing with the band 'the Discomfort' for future concerts. It's nice to have both members of staff back at work now.
Return: We are proud to announce that our Nurse Jeevan has returned from her maternity leave and is now back at work. It is a pleasure to have her back contributing towards our nursing team.
Condolences: We would like to extend our condolences to the family of the late Mrs Margaret Jones (formerly Rhyd Uchaf). Margaret was a very loving, lovable and musical character and took day care with us at the Home before joining us full time.
Activities: Many thanks to Mrs Mererid Williams for coming to entertain us again this month with her charming accompaniment and singing. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed with many of the residents singing along to well-known hymns and traditional folk songs. Hopefully we'll have her company again soon. Thanks also to our talented carer Mary Roberts for organising a craft afternoon for Valentine's Day. She arranged for several of our residents to create particularly colourful cards and they had a lot of fun doing it. Similarly thank you to our Chefs Darren and Shane for preparing a fun afternoon serving pancakes with a variety of ingredients for Pancake Day. Unfortunately, none of our chefs had much fun throwing their pancakes out of the pan this year!
Birthday: Two birthdays were celebrated during the month of February, Mr Kenneth Humphreys (Porthmadog) and Mrs Margaret Griffiths (Blaenau Ffestiniog). It was nice to see the two happy with the celebrations of having a cake, a card and a gift.
